Glenrothes Spring Meet

It was an early start for twenty-four of our swimmers who ventured south for the Glenrothes meet. Some of our swimmers (and even the coaches!) had a little difficulty in finding the pool but all got there eventually!

We had a total of 67 swims as heat declared winners (no finals). Our entries were Butterfly (5); Backstroke (15); Breaststroke (16); Freestyle (18) and Indiviual medley (13). From these we had a fantastic 41 finishes in the top 10!

Our club was represented extremely well by: Amy Robertson, Hannah Edwards, Ross Brown, Darren Robertson, Beth Fyffe, Chloe Strachan, Mathew McComish, Robyn McNally, Ailsa Young, Emma Coupar, Ben Parsons, Lucy Robertson, Neve Findlay, Soha Nabi, Alex McNally, Rebecca McComish, Nick Parsons, Alice Parsons, Nicole McIntosh, Oscar Holm-Huxley, Amy Scott, Ben Fettes, Mika Mitchell and Jack Robertson.

We had a total of 47 PB's - a significant number of swimmers had a really good meet with consistently large PB's - well done. Those in the top six of each event got trophies and medals. They were: 1st - Amy Roberston (IM, Freestyle and Backstroke; 2nd - Amy Robertson (Butterfly), Ailsa Young (Backstroke); 3rd - Ailsa Young (Breaststroke); 4th -Darren Robertson (IM), Ailsa Young (IM); 5th - Hannah Edwards (IM), Ross Brown (IM), Beth Fyffe (IM), Ailsa Young (Freestyle), Darren Robertson (Backstroke); 6th - Mathew McComish (Butterfly), Neve Findlay (Breaststroke, Freestyle),Amy Scott (Backstroke, Freestyle), Ross Brown (Backstroke). And congratulations to Amy Robertson for coming overall joint 2nd top girl - a great achievment!
